Comvita® UMF® 10+ Manuka Honey is produced in New Zealand by Comvita whose hives are located in the beautiful Bay of Plenty region of New Zealand’s North Island. Comvita is the most reputable producer of UMF® Manuka Honey and only produces honey which is UMF certified.

UMF® stands for ‘Unique Manuka Factor’, a quality measure unique to honey made from the nectar of the Manuka (Leptospermum scoparium) bush, native to New Zealand. Every batch of Manuka honey from Comvita is tested by independent accredited laboratories registered to measure the UMF® level. All batches are assessed by qualified technicians for flavour, colour and aroma.

Only some Manuka honey can carry the UMF® trademark. Unlike the ‘Active’ honeys on the market, UMF honey is tested to contain guaranteed levels of antibacterial factors. A honey described as ‘active’ measures the total activity not just the special Non-Peroxide activity.
