Comvita Manuka Apinate Dressings

ApiNate Dressings are comprised of UMF® Active Manuka Honey and Alginate Fibre. The dressings are absorbent, non-adherent, CE marked medical devices. Comvita Medical offers a novel natural honey based barrier dressing for a wide range of wound types, including those difficult to heal wounds. ApiNate not only provides a moist wound healing environment, but delivers naturally occurring antibacterial protection in an absorbent alginate (seaweed) fibre base. ApiNate supports management of multiple wound types in a cost effective manner. Contraindications and Side Effects: * Allergy to honey * Some stinging may occur on application. This is due to honey's acidity and will ease as the inflammation in the wound decreases. If pain persists, wash the honey off * ApiNate contains high levels of glucose.
