Description:

Asthma is a reversible obstructive airways disease of varying severity, which is characterised by widespread narrowing of the airways. The main symptoms are breathlessness, wheezing and chest tightness. A cough is commonly present, often accompanied by thick sputum (catarrh). By supplying silica, Galeopsis can help to strengthen the tissue of the lungs and the pelvic floor, both of which need high levels of silica to remain strong. Galeopsis with its nettle-like leaves and white flowers, grows well in cultivation but is increasingly rare in the wild. Alfred Vogel believed in its value as a tincture and wrote of its benefits, following in the footsteps of Culpepper and other old herbalists who knew it well. Directions:

Adults: 10 to 20 drops 3 times a day, in a little water. Children: (2-12 years): 1 drop per year of age, 3 times a day, in a little water.
